As you've probably read from the homepage-- my name is Mason! I'm 19, and I use he/him pronouns; I'm not too big on labels but I broadly identify as transmasc, queer, bi, and/or greyace. Undiagnosed neurodivergent (source: just trust me). White and American-- originally from the eastern south but going to art school in the northeast. I am an interdisciplinary artist, dabbling in different mediums as I get the chance, but my favorites are painting, drawing, and printmaking. In terms of crafting I mostly sew, though I don't like to use a machine. I find hand sewing very satisfying & relaxing, so mostly I'm mending and modifying clothes rather than making garments. I also write, mostly poetry, and I love music-- though only as a listener rather than a creator.

My friends say I'm compassionate and thoughtful and funny (though most of my humor consists of bad wordplay and references to internet posts)... I'm leftist with anarchist leanings, I believe in social & economic equality & equity, anti-colonialism, revolutionary change, and so on. All that good shit. I consider myself agnostic with athiest leanings although I come from a Christian family.

I care about the free & personal web, which is why I'm here on Neocities in the first place. I'm always open to messages through email or socials or whatever (links to that stuff is on my 'links' page) if you have questions or just wanna chat :]

INTERESTS

• Music:

  My most frequented genres are new wave, post-punk, riot grrrl, punk, folk, assorted indie and alternative rock (though those last two genre labels are kinda meaningless at this point)...

  My favorite bands/artists (in no particular order) include Talking Heads, Sufjan Stevens, Against Me!, Left at London, They Might Be Giants, Joy Division, Dead Kennedys, My Chemical Romance, Nana Grizol, Vienna Teng, The Taxpayers, 100 gecs, Peach Pit, The Taxpayers, and so on. This little description is by no means all-inclusive, I listen to a lot of music and I'm always trying to expand my taste!

• Games: Night in the Woods, OFF, and The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe, Disco Elysium, Slay the Spire, Minecraft, Undertale & Deltarune, Who's Lila?, Stardew Valley, Slime Rancher, The Binding of Isaac, Nubby's Number Factory, and others
• Shows: Doctor Who (particularly 9 and 10!), Bojack Horseman, Its Alyways Sunny in Philadelphia, Gravity Falls, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Bob's Burgers, and others. I don't watch enough movies to have developed strong favorites...
• Books/Comics: I don't really have any favorite books, I tend to read nonfiction which is harder to pick faves from imo... though in terms of fiction I really like the Scott Pilgrim comics, and the Wings of Fire series is a childhood favorite that I return to sometimes for nostalgia purposes
• Other Media: I watch a lot of YouTube in my free time... favorite channels include Hivemind, Strange Aeons, Drew Gooden, Shaun, Hbomberguy, Northernlion, Therm, and I have a long-term on and off interest in Hermitcraft (though I don't like to engage in its fandom...)
• General Things: Alternative subculture, politics, sociology, DIY ethics... also bats, dragons, unicorns, cats, werewolves, cowboy, gothic, and medieval aesthetics
